Une photographie marquante semble souvent être une rencontre heureuse entre la lumière et la composition; on remarque des motifs, quelque chose qui attire le regard: des traînées ou des nuages, des petits détails lors d’une promenade en forêt... Les vacances dans les Highlands écossais m'ont fait apprécier à quel point un paysage peut changer rapidement avec la pluie éphémère, le soleil imprévisible. Maintenant, en passant par Dardagny et Russin, à travers l’aube, les arbres, la brume, je suis consciente de toutes les photos que je ne prends pas, où je n’ai nulle part pour m'arrêter. Je suis contente de tout ce que j'ai pu capturer.

Striking photographs often seem a happy accident of light and elements of a composition coming together at a moment of time; noticing patterns or something that attracts the eye: contrails or clouds, details in a forest walk...Holidays in the Scottish Highlands made me appreciate how quickly a landscape can change with passing rain, unpredictable sunshine. Now, driving to work through Dardagny and Russin, the dawn, the trees, the mist, I am aware of all the photographs I don’t take, have nowhere to stop to take. I’m grateful for any that I manage to capture.
